Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Awilix LLC ("SoClipping", "we") is the controller of the personal data processed through soclipping.com, its forms, its API and its portals. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and what your rights are. It applies to visitors, prospects, clients, clippers, Rookies and anyone who writes to us.

1. What we collect and why

  • Quote request: first and last name, work email, company, the objectives of your campaign, the page you wrote from. Purpose: prepare and send your quote, follow up with you. Basis: steps prior to a contract, legitimate interest in answering you.
  • Call booking: name, email, chosen time. Purpose: create the calendar event and send you the Google Meet invite. Basis: steps prior to a contract.
  • Clipper application: first and last name, email, country, platforms, links to your social accounts, niches, your message. Purpose: review your application and answer you. Basis: steps prior to a contract.
  • Rookie training purchase: name, email, billing country, language, Stripe session and payment identifiers, amount, date. Your card details go to Stripe only. Purpose: deliver the Training, create your account, issue receipts, handle refunds, meet accounting obligations. Basis: contract, legal obligation.
  • Clipper and Rookie accounts: legal name, address, country, company if any, payout details (IBAN or account number, BIC), platform accounts and their handles, published clips and their links, counters and audience reports, invoices, training progress, terms accepted. Purpose: run the campaigns, review clips, verify views, pay you, issue self-billed invoices. Basis: contract, legal obligation (invoicing).
  • Client accounts: contact name, job title, email, company, legal name, registration and VAT numbers, billing address and email, campaign data and reports. Purpose: run and invoice the campaigns. Basis: contract, legal obligation.
  • Emails you send us: your address and the content. Purpose: answer you. Basis: legitimate interest.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps, in server logs. Purpose: security, abuse prevention, debugging. Basis: legitimate interest. Logs are kept 12 months at most.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

2. Cookies and tracking

The public Site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party tracker. The portals use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in; it is deleted when you log out or after inactivity. Stripe's payment page and Google's booking invite are subject to their own cookie policies.

  • Language cookie (sc_lang): set only when you pick a language with the flags in the header. It stores your choice (English or French) for 12 months so the Site keeps showing that language, contains nothing else and serves only the feature you asked for.
  • Language of your first visit: our server may send you to the French version when your browser is set to French, or when it prefers French to English and your IP address belongs to a French-speaking country. The country is looked up on our own server from the public IP address registries; nothing is stored or shared beyond the usual server logs.

We may measure the Site's audience with Google Search Console, which gives us aggregated search data only, never your identity.

3. Who we share data with

  • Stripe (payments, receipts, refunds, fraud prevention), United States and Ireland.
  • Google (Google Workspace for our email, Google Calendar and Meet for call bookings), United States, with its EU data processing terms.
  • Hostinger International Ltd (hosting of the Site, API and portals), European Union.
  • Clients and clippers of a campaign: a client sees the clips, accounts and counters of their campaign; a clipper sees the brief and the campaign data they joined. Clients never receive a clipper's contact or payout details, and clippers never receive a client's billing details.
  • Banks and payment providers to pay clippers, accountants and auditors, and authorities where the law requires it.

Our processors act on our instructions under written contracts. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers).

4. How long we keep data

  • Quote requests, bookings and applications without follow-up: 24 months after the last contact.
  • Client and clipper accounts: for the life of the account, then 12 months, except invoices, payouts, contracts and payment records, kept 10 years for accounting and tax obligations.
  • Training purchases: payment records 10 years; your account and progress for the life of the account.
  • Emails: 3 years after the last exchange.
  • Server logs: 12 months at most.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU and UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, other state and national laws), you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw a consent at any time, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising.

To exercise a right, email hello@soclipping.com from the address linked to your data; we may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within one month (45 days for California requests), extendable where the law allows. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL; in the UK, the ICO).

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored on servers in the European Union with restricted access, and passwords are stored hashed. Payment data never transits through our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Children

The Services are not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has given us data, write to us and we delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version and its date are always published at this address. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
